Bridge Set, manufactured by W.L.M. Clark, Inc. "Clark Tiles" playing card tiles. This item was designed to permit card games, especially bridge, to be played outdoors. The tiles could be used for any type of card game. The tiles seem to be made of pressed wood that has been painted black, with a glued paper inlay for each card face value. The back of the tiles are embossed with a ship. Each tile is 30MM X 22MM X 8MM thick, except the "Dealer" tile which is 14MM thick. The set includes 4 black metal racks for the tiles to rest on, a complete deck of cards/tiles, a "dealer" tile, a "joker" tile and a tile that states "IF A TILE IS LOST USE THIS TO REPLACE", all of which is housed in the original vinyl case.
The donor's stepfather Gerald Henry Bucey and his 1st wife Edith used it in Washington, but eventually moved to WBR Parish in Brusly in 1958.
