Melissa says: "I felt so honoured to be asked by Briony to document her Covid-19 experience and the image is from a selfie taken on her first shift on the Covid ward. During such an unprecedented situation, being able to tell a person’s story through art is incredibly valuable and I hope that being part of the Portraits for NHS Heroes project will enable their stories to document a point in history where we truly recognised the selflessness and dedication of our wonderful NHS staff."
