Dou is a kind of percussion instrument. According to what it is made of, it can be divided into Gold Dou and Wood Dou. It is mostly used in battlefields and it can also be used for dancing. Seven flat ball shaped and nine fish shaped pottery percussion instruments are found in the tomb of the Nanyue King. They are filled with sands, which give a rattle sound when shaking.
