In 1929 J. Alexander Symington created a three-volume catalogue of Lord Brotherton’s music collections, almost all of which came from Freemantle. One volume was dedicated solely to Mendelssohn. A copy of 'A Bibliography of Sheffield' was bound in similar style and used as a catalogue of Freemantle’s collection of Sheffield books.
