View of the Burke and Wills Monument by Charles Summers, dedicated to the Australian explorers, Robert O'Hara Burke and William John Wills. The statue, placed on a stone pedestal with additional reliefs, depicts Wills as seated, while Burke stands and rests his right arm on the former. The statue is situated in the middle of Collins and Russell Streets, with what is now known as St. Michael's Uniting Church partially visible on the left, showing its gable roofs and arched windows. Also visible on the lower right area of the image are three unidentified people standing on the sidewalk.
