Cesar Chavez, the man pictured on this button, founded the National Farm Workers Association in 1962. It later became known as the United Farm Workers (UFW) -- its eagle symbol is in the lower right. Chavez sought recognition, through nonviolent means, for the UFW and fought tirelessly for the dignity of all farm workers.
