Large-scale drawing of fireplace with andirons in foreground and cartouche decoration at rear of opening. The overmantel consists of a large rococo mirror which reflects the other side of the room. Three-branched wall lights are attached to either side of the mirror. At top of mirror, near ceiling, are two putti playing with garland flowers. Enclosed in a paneled frame (left) is a partial view of a painting, "Zephyr et Flore," showing putti, flowers, and the legs of a goddess. A putto, holding a flamed torch, is at top of painting. In the paneled frame (right) is a partial view of a man holding a spear in his right hand with two dogs nearby.
