This display cabinet by Joseph Maria Olbrich is made of noble, exquisitely manufactured materials. Inlays of nacre and plane as well as brass fittings adorn this piece of furniture made of maple. Joseph Maria Olbrich was an important figure of both: the Viennese and the Darmstadt Art Nouveau. As a founding member of the Wiener Secession, he designed its building with the golden laurel dome at the Vienna Naschmarkt.
