Cahiers du cinéma n°497 - December 1995

This issue of the French film magazine "Cahiers du Cinéma" features a special focus on the philosopher Gilles Deleuze and his relationship with cinema, including articles exploring how his concepts relate to the art form. The magazine also includes an in-depth look at the work of director Benoît Jacquot through articles on his films "La Fille Seule" and "Marianne," as well as an interview with the director. A retrospective is offered on the work of filmmaker Chantal Akerman, examining her approach to narrative, as well as an in-depth consideration of the "Albatros" film studio of the 1920s.
