This work was originally called Caoshu Jiutie, the Nine Pages of Calligraphy in Grass Script. The museum possesses three pages of letters (Yuanri tie, Wuyou tie and Handai tie) and one page on which two poems have been written. The page with two poems is considered two separate works (Zhong qiu tie and Muqiong tie), making the museum set five pages of calligraphy in grass script. Of the four pages that have become separated from these works, two are in the collection of the Palace Museum of Taipei.
