La Catrina, is a character created by Jose Guadalupe Posada, interpreted in many different ways by Mexican artisans. The one on the left is made of glazed clay from Guanajuato, and it looks like Posada's Catrina, wearing an elegant Colonial dress; the one on the right is a candelabrum from Puebla -a finely crafted ceramic piece, featuring a Catrina dressed as a China Poblana.
