Cecília Benevides de Carvalho Meireles (Rio de Janeiro, November 7, 1901 - Rio de Janeiro, November 9, 1964). It is one of the most important voices of female poetry in the Portuguese language. He was a journalist, painter, poet, writer and Brazilian teacher. It is a canonical name of Brazilian modernism, one of the great poets of the Portuguese language and is widely considered to be the best poet in Brazil, although it fought the word poet because of gender discrimination.
