This image by Luba Lukova was first published on the cover of The New York Times’ Sunday Arts and Leisure section as a poignant visual commentary for an article on the Taliban regime’s censorship of music. The artist later included it in her Social Justice portfolio as a statement on censorship and freedom of expression.
