Certification letter of guarantee for fief ownership issued by Tachibana Chikanari (Muneshige)/ Library of Yanagawa Archives

By order of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, Tachibana Muneshige suppressed the revolt led by the Kumabe clan of the Higo Province. Muneshige lamented the abolishment of this distinguished clan and employed Genemon, who was a member of the side line family of the Kumabe clan, and made him succeed the family name of the clan. This letter was sent to Genemon for granting a fief ownership by Muneshige.
