Charles De L'Escluse - Clusius

Charles de l'Écluse or Clusius (1526 – Leiden, April 4, 1609) was a doctor and pioneering 16th century botanist. From 'La Belgique Horticole' published in Liège, Belgium, from 1851 to 1885. Edited initially by Charles Morren, the director of the Botanical Garden of Liège and containing lithographs by Guillaume Severeyns.
