Bronze replica of the bronze equestrian statue of Charles IV of Spain by Manuel Tolsá, called also "the Iron Horse." In the image of a man in uniform with a cape riding on the back of a large horse with one hand on the reigns and the other holding out a long object. At the front is a small plaque that reads, "DIR. GRAL. DE / Ms. D. GUERRA / MEXICO." On the side of the base is an inscribed silver plaque: "Dr. Francisco Castillo Najera / Embajor de Mexico en Washington / y General Elpidio G. Velazquez / Gobernador del Estado de Durango / a nombre de este Estado / al Señor Franklin D. Roosevelt / Presidente de los Estados Unidos de America / con Sincero Aprecio / Monterrey, N.L.
