This dress of light-coloured satin and silk tulle with chenille applications was designed for Sisi around 1880 by her favourite seamstress, Fanny Scheiner. Like most of the empress's light-coloured clothes, it was given away in December 1889 and altered after 1890 to fit a new owner. In 1962 a descendant of the imperial house gave it to the Kunsthistorisches Museum. © Monica Kurzel-Runtscheiner
