This photograph taken in Tinta (Canchis district) depicts a native dressed in traditional clothing: a chullo underneath a wide-brimmed hat, and poncho. He carries on his shoulders a jar containing chicha - a slightly alcoholic drink derived from the fermentation of cereals (often maize), fruit or cassava, already in use in pre-Columbian times and still very popular in the Andean area.
