Chichen Itza is classified as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World and as of 1988, it is enlisted as an UNESCO World Heritage Site. Chichen Itza was one of the largest Maya cities and it was likely to have been one of the mythical great cities.
This is part of the iconography from the Sculpted Chamber of the Lower Temple of the Jaguars at Chichen Itza in Mexico (Figures B 13 and B14 with objects to the left, West Wall). The object is a 19th century cast from the original, part of the Maudslay Collection at the British Museum, which was later painted, trying to give it its potential original colours.
