Chinese Fret

(Daytime) The sculpture, designed in accordance with the study and review of the model scheme to develop Chulalongkorn University’s commercial area, is installed in the wellness city model area at Samyan-Suanluang. The sculpture is inspired by the Chinese fret or wealth crotchet design, an old Chinese auspicious design often used to decorate cloth bestowed in marriage ceremonies, gifts, appliances, lanterns, architecture, and so on. The design, which features cloud motifs blended with geometric shapes, is used in this sculpture installed at the Day and Night Digital Art Park, where people can interact with the work.
