LakhaTirtha is the place where Bishnumati and Lun Khusi (rivers) meet and it came from typical Newari word "Lukhutirtha". It is on the way to Swayambhu and Kanga ajima to the south of Bishnumati. This place is associated with the origination of Nepa Sambat, Newari language and script. Shankhadhar Sakhwa's deed to Nepal started from this place itself. The Chiva and Falcha( place to sit for travellers) are major beauty of the Lakhatirtha.
