The Church of St. Nicholas is located in Kamianske, Dnipropetrovsk region. Formerly the city was known as Dniprodzerzhynsk. The old title inspired the atmosphere of heavy industry. It comes as no surprise that the idea to build the church belonged to the director of the Dnipro factory – Ignacio Yasyukovich. Many Polish industrial workers and their families moved to Kamianske in the 19th century, and they needed a church of their own here. The church was built at the expense of workers of the plant and the Metallurgical Association. It was designed by Marian Hormansky in neo-Gothic style.
