The Church of St Keyne, also known as Kenwyn Parish Church, was consecrated in 1259. The church was extended in the 15th century and underwent restoration in 1819 and 1860.
In the churchyard is a memorial stone to Joseph Emidy, a West African composer who lived and worked in Cornwall and who became Leader of Truro Philharmonic Orchestra.
