These cloak pins are shaped like two circles linked by a bridge, as in a pair of spectacles. They were very common in Scandinavia. Only two have been found in the Netherlands. The pin, which is decorated with small circles, was worn on a tunic or used to fasten a cloak. It had a needle on the back for this purpose, which has unfortunately been lost.
