The Strong National Museum of Play
Rochester, United States

This playful clock from the middle of the 20th century uses the ball--one of the toys in the National Toy Hall of Fame--as its major design element. The donors purchased the clock in 1951 as they furnished their first apartment as a married couple. Originally, the balls were blonde wood but the donors painted them to match their kitchen.
