Lohans, or Arhats in Sanskrit meaning “perfect saints”, were disciples of the Buddha. Attaining an advanced state of spiritual enlightenment, they were revered as the protectors of Buddhist law. Generally represented in groups, lohans are depicted as engaged in thought, alert, and self-confident. Angida is the Buddha of infinite life. His bag contains secrets of both Heaven and Earth, living a happy and content life, his is joyful.
