A national hero, contemporary cityscape and mythological figures collaged together to make a peculiar composition. The deity Vishnu in the form of Satyanarayan is shown along a devotee couple and sage Narad on either side. Little far on the left is Pandit Jawarharlal Nehru standing holding a garland in adoration of the deity. The painted background depicts the town of Nathdwara.
The collages combining painted backgrounds with cut-outs of figures from popular posters were hugely in demand in around the 1940s. The Nathdwara collages with painted backgrounds ususally have the cut-ous of Brij Basi posters.
