This is a nineteenth century overview of the College Square. From left to right - Senate Building (demolished in 1960) of University of Calcutta, Hare School, Main Building of Presidency College (now Presidency University) and Sanskrit College. This image has been taken from the south-east corner of the lake sometime in between March 1874 and September 1875 because the Main Building of Presidency College was inaugurated on 31 March 1874 and the turret clock (which is not present in this picture) on its top started working from 11 September 1875.
