This painting, part of a four-part series depicting the seasons, combines elements of still life, mythology, and landscape. Inspired by Flemish and Dutch artists, Pier Francesco Cittadini painted it around 1650. It consists of two key components: a garland of fruits and vegetables typical of the season, and a mythological scene in the center. Here, Bacchus represents Autumn, while Silenus, intoxicated, lies at the foot of a wine vat.
