This diorama, in the Museum’s Bears and Sea Mammals Hall, was originally installed in 1949 and was an update of earlier displays that used the same taxidermied bears. It depicts a scene near Chimney Rock in the San Juan Mountains of southern Colorado. The background was painted by C. Waldo Love and the mounts were prepared by Albert C. Rogers. The diorama was photographed by Rick Wicker, May 2012.
