Comet moth lives in Madagascar. Because of the long tails on the hind wings, it is named after comet moth by scientists. It is said by some records that the tail of comet moth is the longest in the world, with a length of more than 15cm. However, the specimen collected by the Insect Museum of West China has hind wings more than 23cm long, almost equivalent to the forearm of a human! It is no doubt the insect that has the longest wing in the world, more than 7cm longer than that of the second place, Thysania agrippina!
