A rectangular plaque with engraved inscriptions in both Latin script and Cyrillic on opposite sides. The bilingual inscription, identical in both languages, documents the laying of the foundation stone, marking the beginning of construction of the Żelazny (Iron) Bridge over the Bernardynka Canal in Kalisz. This was the first iron truss bridge in the city, built using the American truss system.
