Competing cars in the Battle of Flowers

Brazilian copy of the French Battles of Flowers, where flower-decked carts paraded while people threw flowers and confetti at each other. This ephemeral festivity was an attempt to introduce a more sophisticated carnival in the country, without the malice of popular carnival and without the high temperatures of February and March.
