The canvas, though related to the material and chromatic richness of the 'Barocchi', has some elements in common with the contemporary cycle of 'Gessi'. On the one hand the row holes forming the perimeter of the two large panels set facing each other, recalls the calibrated partitions of Burri's informal works, while evoking the graffiti and other closed forms of the panels and abstract structures produced by the artist in the thirties.
