Confrontations in a cathedral, op. 84

Confrontations in a Cathedral, for organ, harp and percussion, was commissioned for the Dublin International Organ Festival in 1986. Boydell imagined that within the walls of a cathedral this work might symbolise the reconciliation of conflicting entrenched beliefs through a spirit of understanding.
