Contemplation

An example of the poetics developed by António Carneiro along the many beaches he painted, Contemplação transforms the landscape into a mood. Given by the fluidity of the brushes' stroke, the crepuscular pink dematerializes the rocks to envelop them in a sensation of metaphoric values. The landscape is the subjective point of view of a meditative figure that contemplates it and to where the lines of composition converge.
