In 2012, the Galicia Craft Public Foundation launched the Corazón de Artesanía project. A meeting of traditional and popular Galician crafts in the historic-artistic complex of the Pendellos de Agolada (Pontevedra). An initiative that has become an unmissable event in the calendar of Galician craft events. Year after year, the programme is expanded to include craft workshops, stands selling food products with a designation of origin, conferences, hands-on workshops for children and adults, exhibitions, specialised training courses and the presentation of various inter-sectoral projects. In this latest edition, prestigious designers and representatives of important national and international marketing companies have been invited, with the aim of opening up new business opportunities for Galician craftsmen. The Galician Craft Public Foundation has been a finalist and winner in several editions of the National Craft Awards for its continuous work in promoting the craft sector in the region.
