Corner

The placement of the piece at the vertex between two walls delineates the limits of a space and manifests the spatial presence of the artwork. I am interested in certain reverberations of the body and its setting in dimension.
In soccer, a corner kick is awarded when the ball goes out of bounds over the goal line after being touched by a player from the defending team. When a child misbehaved, he had to stand in the corner as a form of punishment. In the homosexual community, some sexual practices often occur in public spaces, and the corner of a room allows for the stability of the bodies involved.
The palette of the piece seeks to exalt color, with gradients as a state of joy, freedom, and individual beauty. Abstraction enhances the symbolic nature of color, which identifies a community, a club, a flag, the experience of color as an experience of life.
