Mashirima is one of the women supported by Carakana Program and here she shares her story: GOD-SENT HELP
"My name is Mashirima, I am a 30-year-old single mother of one. Since cross stitching came to prisons it has changed my life. My family lives in Tanzania and my sister visits me once in a while but now, I'm able to send her bus fare or take care of my needs in prison without having to burden them. The money I earned went to clearing my medical bills. I also used the money to buy my mother, my children and my siblings gifts from the prisons industry groups. I pray to God that He preserves Carakana and may the project continue to grow."
