Location Created: Riviera del Brenta, Venice, Italy
Provenance: This court shoe is inspired by the Pilgrim model, created in the early 1960s by Roger Vivier. The Pilgrim shoe became widespread and popular very rapidly. The model is a modern reinterpretation of Pilgrim Fathers' 18th century typical footwear. The peculiarity of Pilgrim shoes is the buckle on the front side of the upper; actually, also other types of accessory have been later used instead of the buckle.
