Cover of the published book from the manuscript dated 1762 from Santiago de Cárdenas (Callao, 1726 - Lima, 1766) by Rafael Jover (Granada, 1845 - ¿?, 1896) in Santiago de Chile.
Jover was a Spanish writer, poet and editor based in Chile where he opened a bookstore and had publishing companies. Ricardo Palma (Lima, 1833-1919) presented him the De Cárdenas's manuscript, which Jover edited as a resume with a Palma tradition entitled "Santiago Volador", and the dissertation by Cosme Bueno (Aragón, 1711 - Lima, 1798), erudite cosmographer of that time who dismissed the work of De Cárdenas.
