This cover page is bordered by ornaments that reflect the pieces of the Belgian Art Nouveau, especially the art of van de Velde: curved lines, thick and thinning sections, coils, intertwined, indented and hollow shapes. The Art Nouveau arabesque is dominant, with its flat, two-dimensional, abstract shapes and lines. Horti, among others, also designed a cushion pattern from the same motifs (see Pattern of Ornaments 1901 Plate 155.).
