Crater Dunes - False Color

The THEMIS camera contains 5 filters. Data from different filters can be combined to create a false color image. These false color images may reveal subtle variations of the surface not easily identified in a single band image. This image from NASA 2001 Mars Odyssey spacecraft shows a sand sheet with surface dune forms on an unnamed crater in Noachis Terrra.
