Seen here is Murli Dhar, who is a woodcarving artisan. He makes small sized replicas of temples and houses. To begin the process of making a replica, he first cuts the wood int several pieces that will together form a model.
Project: Project FUEL in collaboration with Uttarakhand Handloom and Handicraft Development Council (UHHDC) brings forth 'Homespun in Uttarakhand' to present life lessons of seven master artisans, who bring these craft forms to life. An episodic series, 'Homespun in Uttarakhand' aims to narrate their personal stories and their passion celebrating the unrecognised & dying craft practices, which need preservation.
