Cremating the body of our second son
Around 4 pm, August 11; Second Hiroshima Prefectural Junior High School schoolyard, Kan-on hon-machi. Jiro, our second son, with his father, Yoshitada.
The Akatsuki Corps had dug many long ditches about a meter deep. Each corpse was laid in a ditch with scraps of wood placed on top of it. After everything was lit on fire, a tin sheet was placed over top of the ditch and we came back to collect the bones the next day. Since the fuel didn't burn well, the bodies were still mostly intact. Innocent children were burnt in hell fires or had to suffer the loss of their parents. Who is to blame for this tragedy?
