After his solo exhibition Dreamshop at MoMu in 2006, renowned Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto endowed several important silhouettes to the museum. Included in the donation, this historically inspired silhouette plays with the ideas of masculine and feminine design, combining a loosely cut jacket with a frogging closure together with a theatrical blossoming tiered, and ruffled crinoline skirt.
