Cuatro Caños fountain

“The traveller finds in the plaza de los cuatro caños a slender cup-shaped fountain. It is covered by an old cracked slab and crowned by a chess pawn”. Journey to the Alcarria, Camilo Jose Cela. The fountain of the cuatro caños is, without a doubt, one of the icons of the town of Pastrana. It dates back to the 16th century and has four different high-relief figureheads over which the water pipes come out.
