Cyclist At The Sydney Cricket Ground

An asphalt cycle track is laid inside the SCG boundary fence. Captured are cyclists racing on the asphalt cycling track laid in 1896.

Cycling remained a popular sport at the SCG until the removal of the track and lighting in 1920. Electrified lights are installed two years later, enabling night cycling to commence.
