The Czocha Castle is a historical fortress located in southwestern Poland, near the town of Leśna in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. It combines Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque architectural elements. It features a distinctive keep, a large courtyard, and various residential buildings. The fortress is known for its legends and mysterious history. Stories of hidden treasures, secret passages, and ghostly apparitions add to its allure.
One of the legends is about young Anna, who decided to marry only for money. The older bachelor found out, became furious and decided to kill the woman. There was a trapdoor in the bed, so Anna's body fell from a height into the dungeons, and she herself did not manage to survive. Her ghost sometimes appears in the chamber. Czocha Castle is called the most haunted castle because once, during the funeral of one of the inhabitants, the bridge collapsed and the entire funeral procession died.
