Inés Rodríguez runs the Rir&Co textile studio in Allariz (Ourense), where she has focused her work on researching new fabrics to create contemporary handcrafted pieces. Inés's firm commitment to innovation and research is the basis of a project as solid as D-Leite, a baby blanket that combines traditional craftsmanship with innovation in design and fibre, which is sustainable, biodegradable and gives the baby a feeling of emotional well-being while being cared for. It is a product woven on a traditional loom, with a warp of merino wool from Castilian transhumance and biodegradable lactoprotein fibres obtained from the recycling of milk production waste.
From the design to the final production of each piece, the entire process is carried out with the utmost care and the highest quality parameters, resulting in exclusive contemporary pieces made with techniques that transmit the cultural values of traditional Galician weaving.
